Currently we are searching for a Salesforce Platform Engineer. This is a long-term, open-ended contract with a stable and growing company. 12 months renewable with the potential to convert to an employee, but no timeline has been given. Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance are all available with reasonable rates and coverage.

Summary

This position focuses on designing, building, and maintaining Salesforce solutions that solve real business challenges. The engineer works with both declarative and programmatic tools, adhering to Salesforce best practices to optimize platform performance, automation, integration, and user adoption.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions using a declarative-first approach.

  • Design, develop, test, document, and deploy Salesforce features aligned with the Salesforce Well-Architected framework.

  • Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and peers in agile environments to refine requirements and deliver working solutions.

  • Maintain data integrity, user access, and security settings.

  • Manage and support AppExchange applications and integrations with other enterprise systems.

  • Write and maintain Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, Visualforce, and JavaScript code when needed.

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines, coordinate releases, and ensure quality deployment processes.

  • Troubleshoot platform issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.

  • Partner with architects and data teams to enforce standards, maintain documentation, and drive platform health improvements.

  • Stay current on Salesforce releases and community best practices.

Key Technical Areas
  • Administration: user management, security, data modeling, validation, reports, dashboards, and automation (Flow, approvals).

  • Development: Apex, LWC, integrations (REST/SOAP, Platform Events), and code optimization.

  • System Integration & Data Management: handling APIs, ETL, middleware, data migration, and quality controls.

  • Performance, Security & Reliability: governor limit optimization, Shield configuration, compliance, and monitoring.

  • DevOps: version control (Git), CI/CD (Salesforce DX, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), packaging, and automated testing.

  • Collaboration: agile practices, documentation, peer reviews, mentoring, and process improvement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent experience.

  • 1 6+ years of Salesforce development, configuration, and administration (experience level determines role seniority).

  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Administrator, App Builder, or Platform Developer are recommended.

  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, LWC, SOQL, JavaScript, and Salesforce data modeling.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control, and integration patterns.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills; experience with Agile methodology preferred.
