A cutting-edge AI startup is reimagining how teams communicate using real-time AI companions, and we're looking for a Senior or Staff Frontend Engineer (React) to lead development of our user-facing applications. This is a full-time, fully remote role focused on building intuitive, high-performance interfaces that showcase the power of modern AI in the workplace.
This is your chance to work on truly meaningful problems at the intersection of AI and human-computer interaction. You'll join a small, senior team building the core UI for our intelligent assistant platform, with an emphasis on real-time collaboration, streaming data visualization, and seamless ML integration. If you're a frontend-focused engineer who thrives on crafting clean, scalable UI with real-world impact, this is your opportunity to shape the product, influence design systems, and grow into a technical leadership role. Required Skills & Experience

6+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years building frontend applications in React + typescript
Deep understanding of modern frontend architecture, state management, and component-based design
Experience working with real-time data (e.g., WebSockets, live feeds, collaborative UIs)
Strong eye for design detail and UX, with the ability to translate Figma or design specs into production code
Proficient with TypeScript, modern JS tooling (Webpack, Vite, etc.), and REST/GraphQL API integration

Desired Skills & Experience

Experience working on AI-powered products or interfaces that integrate ML outputs (e.g., assistants, chat UIs)
Familiarity with real-time messaging platforms, collaborative tools, or rich text editors
Exposure to data visualization libraries (e.g., D3, Recharts, Visx) and performance optimization techniques
Understanding of accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and responsive design principles
Comfortable collaborating across backend, ML, and product teams in a fast-moving startup environment

What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown

80% React (TypeScript, Hooks, Next.js or similar)
20% Real-time data integration, UX/Design collaboration, and performance tuning

Daily Responsibilities

80% Hands-On Engineering (UI development, performance, code reviews)
10% UI/UX Planning & Architecture
10% Cross-functional Collaboration (with Design, Product, Backend, ML)
