responsibilities:
- Architect detailed, AutoCAD-based control system drawings, including complex riser diagrams and precise wiring layouts, ensuring compliance with standards like ASHRAE and NEC.
- Develop and meticulously edit sequences of operation (SOO) for sophisticated HVAC and building automation systems, directly translating mechanical specifications into energy-efficient control logic.
- Coordinate and partner with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and project managers, to align design intent with successful field installation and implementation practices.
- Spearhead the selection and specification of essential components (sensors, controllers, network infrastructure) to support reliable and cost-effective design solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, actively helping to standardize design templates and optimize our processes for greater team efficiency and client value.
qualifications:
Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls Engineering, or a closely related field.
Proven Experience: Demonstrated proficiency with 2+ years of hands-on experience in HVAC controls design, building automation, or smart building systems.
Technical Mastery: Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating detailed control drawings, coupled with fundamental knowledge of DDC systems (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Siemens, etc.) and protocols (BACnet, Modbus).
Collaborative Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with field personnel and project teams, utilizing strong verbal and written communication to articulate complex concepts clearly to all stakeholders.
