Description SAIC is seeking a
Junior Electronics Technician in Panama City Beach, FL. The qualified candidate will support the Navy's LCAC ACV program at NSWC PCD in a fast moving team work environment. Work will be performed onsite 5 days a week.
This position is contingent upon award news in Summer 2026.
Job Responsibilities: Production builds of various electronic equipment.
Work in 2M electronics repair lab.
Perform QA checks of equipment.
Test components using established procedures through hole and surface mount CCA, 2M.
Travel for FMT (fleet maintenance team) activities.
Document daily work and submit weekly status reports.
Assist and document build of prototype devices.
Qualifications Required education: Bachelor's degree and 0 yrs experience in electronics assembly or integration, or years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
Required Qualifications: Understand mechanical and electrical assembly drawings and schematics.
Understanding of proper tool use for crimping various electrical connectors.
Ability to follow assembly build books and test procedures for specialized equipment.
Familiarity with ESD safety procedures.
Clearance: ship
Minimum of an interim Secret clearance required to start; Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Desired Qualifications: Experience soldering to J-STD-001.
Expertise with electronics test equipment including DMM's, signal generators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.
Familiarity with fabrication of cable assemblies for marine use.
Experience inspecting electrical assemblies for quality control.
