Title: Data Analyst Migration
Duration: 6+ month contract to hire
Location: 300 Connell Drive Suite 3000, Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922
(3 Days in the office per week)
Pay Rate: $55-$65hr on w2 (Paid every Thursday)
Nice to haves: Vertafore is primary but EPIC or other agency management systems would work. If you have Vertafore they would let them be 100% remote if they check all the boxes.
Migration Specialist Role
The candidate must have business analyst-type skills, with knowledge of Vertafore products like AIM and ImageRight.
The role supports 26-week projects, mapping data and collaborating with businesses, with knowledge of Excel is important.
The migration specialist role is not a data scientist or SQL scripting role, but rather a business analytics perspective.
The candidate must have good communication skills, experience with data mapping, and managing conversations around data movement.

Position Overview:
The Migration Support Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the migration of data, systems, and processes during our transition to new platforms and technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in the insurance industry, strong technical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Job Functions:
Assist in the planning and execution of system migration projects.
Analyze existing data and ensure accurate and complete migration to new platforms.
Assist in planning and coordinating all phases of the migration process, including data mapping.
Collaborate with internal teams, including IT, operations, and client services, to support migration activities.
Identify potential risks and issues related to migration and work on mitigation strategies.
Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure data integrity throughout the migration process.
Provide end-user support for new systems and processes.
Report progress, issues, and results to Director Operations and stakeholders.
Support the testing of new systems and platforms to ensure they function as required post-migration.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the pre and post migration process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years Operations Property Casualty insurance experience with a Wholesale Agency or MGA
Experience in the insurance industry, particularly in policy administration, claims processing, or underwriting.
Proven experience in data migration projects or IT system implementations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with insurance software systems and platforms, AIM, MGA Systems, NetRate & ImageRight, is a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
