Come innovate with us!Position SummaryIn your role as a Pump Engineering Technician, you'll be part of the team responsible for the purchase, installation, set-up, maintenance, improvement, and removal of vacuum pumps (P), chillers and heat exchangers (C), and gas abatement scrubbers (S), used by the main process equipment for all groups.
Specifically the pump team is responsible for the overall management of our vacuum pump fleet.
Role and ResponsibilitiesHere's What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Become subject matter expert (SME) in vacuum pump maintenance, monitoring systems and parts management.
- Perform regular review of work performed on your equipment. This will include things like:
Field Audit: In field spot checks of tasks being performed, ensuring adherence to SOP and training.
Paperwork review: Review check sheets, equipment tracking documents, passdown details.
Meeting review: Attend PCS passdown, and vendor meetings to monitor for issues. - Create and update new/existing maintenance procedures (SOP's) based on the need for continual improvement.
- Support the immediate resolution of any issue on your equipment that is escalated to you from our Operations Department, due to its abnormality or complexity.
- Manage several of the Pump vendors including annual contracts, badging, inventory management, invoice review, SOP's and check sheets, and their training and certification matrix.
- Project management responsibilities will include data analysis and troubleshooting of long term or recurring issues, developing technical improvement ideas, working with counterparts to implement.
- Generate unique/novel project ideas for improvement, perform feasibility tests, seek approval for budget and implementation, and implement required steps in order to make the desired change.
- Coordinate between engineering groups and auxiliary equipment vendors to complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
Skills and QualificationsHere's what you'll need:
- 2 year college degree or technical school certification.
- At least 5 years of related experience.
- Semiconductor or high volume manufacturing experience preferred.
- Extensive experience as equipment technician with equipment ownership experience(R&M) required.
- Previous experience with vacuum pumps, refrigerant based chillers, or gas abatement scrubbers preferred.
The current base salary range for this role is between $21.00 - $60.40. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
