Enterprise Information / Data Architect Overview
We are seeking an Enterprise Information Architect (EIA) on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a hybrid role based in Plymouth, WI, requiring 4 days onsite per week with half-day Fridays.
The Enterprise Information Architect will serve as a strategic leader responsible for defining and advancing the organization's enterprise information architecture. This role operates at the forefront of major initiatives, including enterprise data and analytics platform modernization, sales and marketing analytics transformation, and a large-scale manufacturing program.
This is not a delivery-focused or reporting role, but rather an enterprise-level architecture and thought leadership position, focused on early-stage design, alignment, and long-term scalability.
Key Responsibilities Enterprise Information Architecture Leadership

Acts as the organizational authority for information architecture standards, governance, and enterprise data definitions.

Defines strategy and frameworks for how data is structured, owned, integrated, and consumed across the enterprise.
Modern Data Environment Architecture

Designs and governs scalable data lake and data warehouse environments.

Works with cloud-based data platforms, modern ELT/ETL approaches, and enterprise analytics ecosystems.

Experience with Snowflake as a primary data environment is strongly preferred.
Systems Integration & Data Flow Architecture

Guides integration design, data movement strategies, API-first approaches, and cross-domain data flows.

Establishes architecture standards and patterns rather than performing heavy custom development.

Plays a key role in improving immature integration landscapes.
Data Modeling Expertise

Develops conceptual and logical data models and translates them into actionable deliverables within the first 90 days.

Defines data domains, ownership, lineage, and boundaries across the enterprise.

Works with both structured and unstructured data.
Communication & Cross-functional Collaboration

Partners closely with enterprise architecture, data engineering, analytics, governance, and business stakeholders.

Communicates complex architectural concepts clearly to both technical teams and senior business leaders.

Influences early design decisions to prevent downstream rework.

Additional Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in enterprise information architecture or similar strategic data leadership roles

Experience working with SAP ecosystems (data understanding, not pure SAP architecture)
