AWS Architect Database Migration - 66974

Pay Rate : $70 -$75/hr

We have an immediate need for an experienced AWS Architect with strong database migration expertise to support the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and designing AWS cloud and database solutions aligned with both business and technical requirements, evaluating existing on-prem and legacy database environments, and recommending modernization strategies leveraging AWS services. You will work extensively with core AWS services such as S3, RDS, EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail, ensuring solutions are robust, cost-effective, and compliant with best practices.

To be successful in this position, one needs to be highly proficient in database performance optimization, security, backup, and disaster recovery within AWS environments. You will collaborate closely with application teams, DevOps, and cloud engineers to ensure seamless integration, while also providing guidance on cloud best practices, automation, and DevOps alignment. The role requires strong technical leadership, including mentoring junior database engineers and architects, reviewing architecture and migration documentation, and ensuring operational readiness. Exposure to or experience with GenAI solutions is considered a strong plus.

This position requires more than 10 years of overall experience, with proven hands-on expertise in AWS architecture and database migration initiatives. An AWS Certification is mandatory. The ideal candidate will have strong customer-facing skills, the ability to understand business needs, and the capability to deliver accurate, timely, and effective technical solutions.
