Title: Business Analyst (Cybersecurity or IT security projects)
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 6+ Months contract
Hours: Flexible 8-5
The Business Analyst will play a critical role in collecting information and creating materials for educating broader IT and Cybersecurity groups around complex topics that need alignment. This position involves working closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather and document requirements, analyze current state processes, and be the lead in creating communication materials and documentation. Some materials are purely for alignment while others will be for project proposals. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in technical documentation, and a background in complex IT and Cybersecurity solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering
Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify and gather detailed business and technical requirements
Conduct interviews and workshops to capture requirements and understand business needs
Documentation
Document current state, problem statements, and other relevant information in a clear and concise manner
Process Analysis
Where applicable, understand workflows and be able to document them to varying levels of abstraction
Where applicable, work with stakeholders to map out current state processes and propose future state solutions
Data Analysis and Reporting
Develop outputs that can drive new metrics or compliance reporting
Support decision making with data-driven insights
Ability to estimate effort and do regular status updates, escalations, and general work status reporting
Skills:
Familiarity with networking, cybersecurity, and general IT systems concepts
Experience with project management methodologies
Experience developing materials and communications for varying levels of leadership (including C-level)
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to identity governance and administration
IGA project implementation experience
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Cybersecurity or IT security projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in process mapping and documentation tools
