Description
The Product Owner oversees the development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet the clients' needs and preferences. Their main duties include determining the overall vision of products, deciding which features each product will have according to clients' preferences and managing the entire development process
Position Summary
Product owners serve as the voice of the customer to guide development teams in building software capabilities with the highest business and customer impact. They represent business needs and priorities, prioritize and manage the product backlog, and incorporate feedback from business stakeholders to guide continuous product improvement
Duties and Responsibilities
30% Stakeholder management
? Maintain the product roadmap's alignment with company strategy.
? Set expectations with business stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities
? Act as a primary liaison by communicating with stakeholders, including customers, business managers, and the development team to make sure the goals are clear, the vision is aligned with business objectives and maximizing the value of the product.
? Oversee the development of the product once vision, strategy, and product priorities are set through all phases including planning, refinement, review and sprint.
? Responsible for adoption, engagement, and tracking business value associated to the product
70% Product Delivery
? Work with business and technical stakeholders to develop and document user stories, including specifying functional and non-functional requirements.
? Support estimation of epics, features, technical enablers, and user stories, while also supporting issue resolutions
? Consistently apply user-centric approach to design, planning, and implementation, and contribute to business process redesign and business adoption activities required to support full adoption of interim and target states
? Deliver on customer experience and revenue targets through the definition, development and delivery of strategic offers across a wide range of channels and systems
? Participate in sprint planning to determine the team's objectives for the upcoming sprint.
? Prioritize and manage the backlog items and prioritize them based on the overall strategy and business objectives.
? Establish feedback loops with the customer to measure and track the value delivered by the product.
? Analyze feedback from sprint reviews, and other data such as end user feedback and operational metrics, to identify and understand product needs.
? Work with the team to create acceptance criteria and definitions of done and definition of failures.
? Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that may affect the team's ability to meet project objectives.
? Work with the Project Managers, Technology Lead, and Scrum Master to ensure that the teams are following the hybrid agile methodology and that any issues are addressed in a timely manner
? Responsible for product, data, policy, cybersecurity and usage governance
? Manages and allocates product funding across lifecycle activities
? Manages large complex product initiatives of strategic importance, involving large cross-functional teams
Organizational Expectations
? Ability to understand complex business problems and identify and interpret business needs.
? Extensive experience working in a agile delivery model in Healthcare
? knowledge of agile development methodologies.
? Demonstrated facilitation and influencing skills to drive decision making among stakeholders with diverse perspectives and priorities.
? Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
? Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including experience leveraging data to inform decision making.
? Knowledge of agile planning tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence) preferred
Minimum Qualifications
For Hire:
? Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
? 7+ years of experience in IT
? 7+ years of relevant work experience with experience in a product owner role preferred.
? Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills
? Strong technical skills with a business acumen and ability to work across the organization to develop solutions to complex problems.
? 5+ years Agile experience is required
? Strong Project Management skills
? Strong understanding and working experience with design-thinking best practices to deliver industry-defining products and experiences
? Product owner certifications (e.g. Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe Product Owner Certification) a plus.
? Experience in healthcare is preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $68.00/hr.
