Role: Project Manager
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Role Overview
Client seeks a Project Manager to lead the STAIRS project, modernizing the current system to enhance tracking, monitoring, auditing of service provider cost reports, submissions, and documentation through automation. This role requires expertise in PMI framework, Texas Project Delivery Framework, and QAT reporting for Major Information Resource Projects (MIRP).
The PM understands business/technical modernization objectives, manages stakeholder communications, builds relationships with decision-makers, and clearly communicates complex technical designs and business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create project documentation, presentations, and artifacts per Client Project Delivery Framework standards.
- Provide weekly status updates (written/verbal) and lead regular project team status meetings.
- Present to leadership/oversight (e.g., Executive Steering Committees, QAT); escalate risks/issues timely.
- Act as liaison between stakeholders and project teams.
- Manage schedule, scope, budget; track development progress and ensure timeline alignment.
- Document risks, issues, contingency plans; resolve impediments.
- Oversee SDLC artifacts and ensure business requirements alignment.
- Provide on-call support as needed per project phase.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- PMI framework, Texas Project Delivery Framework, and QAT/MIRP reporting expertise.
- Strong stakeholder communication and relationship-building.
- Ability to articulate complex technical/business concepts.
Minimum Requirements
Required Experience:
- 10+ years project management for large-scale Enterprise Implementations.
- 8+ years State of Texas (or similar Federal/State) project management.
- 8+ years project management/systems analysis leading legacy modernization projects.
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years State of Texas Project Delivery Framework.
- 5+ years low code/no code solutions.
- 3+ years Texas statewide systems.
- 3+ years knowledge of State of Texas QAT process for MIRP.
