Description SAIC has an immediate need for a Data Technician, reports to the Program Manager in support of the SMAEC contract at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. SMAEC provides comprehensive safety and mission assurance (SMA) services to all active and in-development Human Space Flight (HSF) programs led or supported at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The manager will oversee employees and projects across a diverse range of areas including: flight software safety, assurance and quality engineering, IT projects for desktop support, server administration, develop and maintain software tools and application for the SMA Directorate, cyber security, and network system initiatives and facilities support for the SAIC Nassau Bay facility. The Manager will be responsible for ensuring successful delivery of capability, products, and services required by the government customer. The manager will ensure that each assigned project is well-defined, expertly executed, and positively accepted. This position is in Las Cruces, NM.
Job Description: Works closely with White Sands Test Facility (WSTF) organizations and in working groups to maintain a high level of NASA Safety Mission Assurance (SMA) involvement in WSTF operations.
Schedules/plans/conducts WSTF Integrated Management System (WIMS) internal audits and perform follow up verifications of corrective or preventive actions to resolve nonconformances or opportunities for improvement
Assists the SAIC WSTF Supervisor in initiating Corrective and Preventive Action Requests
Processes submitted Corrective/Preventive Action Requests (C/PARs), including tracking C/PAR resolution status.
Maintains the WSTF Corrective and Preventive Action Requests (C/PAR) files and database.
Assists in preparing and developing WSTF Internal Audit schedules and monthly Audit Plans
Assists in coordinating WSTF Internal Audits, from the initiation to the closure of the audits
Assists in reviewing for accuracy and completeness WSTF Internal Audit Reports
Maintains the WSTF Internal Audit files and database
Supports the WSTF Authorized Supplier Assessment Process (WASAP)
Responsible for maintaining the WSTF Authorized Supplier Assessment Process (WASAPe) database.
Assists in generating and maintaining trend charts for WSTF Management Council Reviews.
Assists in WSTF Integrated Management System documented procedures reviews.
Performs WSTF SAIC administrative support functions as needed
Follow SAIC and WSTF Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental Policies
Actively support the WSTF Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP).
Qualifications Summary of Job Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
- 2-year Associates of Applied Science (AAS) in Office Administration preferred.
- 5 - 10 years of clerical, secretarial and administrative experience:
- Experience with general office software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Scheduler and Microsoft Teams (or equivalent)
- Experience in working with spreadsheets, databases and graphic presentation software (Microsoft Power Point)
- Good communication skills (person to person, telephone and email) with a variety of technical professionals
- Proficient in report writing (good grammar skills)
- Proficient organizational skills: record keeping/ filing skills
- Familiar with the ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management Internal Standards is a plus
- Ability to air travel if needed
