The ALIP QA Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of ALIP-based insurance solutions through comprehensive manual and automated testing, with strong emphasis on insurance domain expertise and ALIP product knowledge. The role collaborates closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to validate end-to-end policy lifecycle functionality and regulatory requirements.
• QA & Testing Responsibilities: Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for ALIP applications; perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing; ensure data accuracy across policy, billing, claims, commissions, and underwriting workflows.
• Automation Testing: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent; integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines; focus on regression automation and API testing (REST/SOAP).
• ALIP Product Knowledge: Strong hands-on understanding of ALIP architecture, configuration, rules, calculations, batch jobs, and integrations; validate ALIP-specific components such as product setup, policy lifecycle events, endorsements, renewals, and migrations.
• Insurance Domain Knowledge: Deep knowledge of life and annuity insurance concepts including new business, underwriting, policy administration, billing, claims, reinsurance, and regulatory compliance; ability to translate business requirements into effective test coverage.
• Data & Integration Testing: Validate data flows between ALIP and upstream/downstream systems (CRM, billing, claims, data warehouses); perform SQL-based data validation and batch/job monitoring.
• Quality & Defect Management: Log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA; perform root cause analysis; ensure timely resolution and quality sign-off.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams; review requirements and design documents; provide clear test reports, metrics, and quality status to stakeholders.
