Our challenge

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary AI Engineer with over 7 years of experience to spearhead the design and implementation of large-scale, strategic AI solutions.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $85K - $90K/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality Java applications.
• Collaborate with teams in other departments to identify and prioritize requirements.
• Develop best practices for the company and participate in code reviews with the team and other stakeholders.
• Conduct technical analysis to arrive at solutions and create technological artefacts in response to production issues.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of demonstrable experience in Python development. Additional Java is also a plus
• Strong knowledge of Python languages and web API development frameworks like Spring, restAPIs, and RESTEASY
• Understand in developing web applications using front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript). Not critical but nice to have
• Working knowledge of database technologies (Redis and Oracle). Vector database is a plus, Linux OS and Windows.
• Microsoft copilot, AI foundry, copilot studio and Azure is a BIG plus.
• Demonstrable expertise in various technical areas, including programming, network administration, and software installation and configuration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with organizational capabilities.
• Experience with IT project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
• Familiarity with AI technologies (RAG and LLMs are a big plus). Our application is Python/Java but using LLM to deliver value.
• Understand Model development with Generative AI such as GPT, Llama index, Langhian etc.
• OpenShift container experience is a plus.

Desired Qualifications:

• A Bachelor s or Master s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Java Certified Professional (OCP).
• Nvidia Triton servers for LLMs
• Knowledge of container or cloud computing technologies (Red Hat OpenShift container platform, Azure).
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies (Agile or Scrum).
• Experience with CI/CD DevOps practices and tools (Git, Jenkins, and Docker).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with good teamwork capabilities.
