Data Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Fairfax, VA that is seeking a Data Engineer.

Responsibilities:
* Contributes to completion of technical milestones associated with specific projects, maintain documentation and version control (Git)
* Develops and conducts automate tests to ensure data integrity and security within our isolated network environments (PostgreSQL)
* Integrates DevSecOps best practices into the development lifecycle by building automated deployment pipelines that scan for vulnerabilities and enforce secure configuration standards across the private cloud infrastructure
* Collaborates with data science team to transform raw data and integrate machine learning models into automated processes
* Works with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
* Performs additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, JVM-languages (Java or Scala) for Spark
* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
* Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
