Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data integration, ETL/ELT pipelines, and big data processing to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory

• Build and manage data solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL

• Develop and optimize data processing using Azure Databricks (PySpark)

• Ingest data from multiple sources (APIs, files, databases) into data lakes

• Implement data models for analytics and reporting

• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance

• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business teams

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines in production

• Implement security, governance, and compliance best practices

Required Skills

• 5–6 years of experience in Data Engineering

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse

• Proficiency in SQL and Python

• Experience with Azure Databricks / PySpark

• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts

• Experience with data warehousing and dimensional modeling

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)

• Experience with performance tuning and optimization

Good to Have

• Experience with Power BI

• Knowledge of Delta Lake

• Exposure to DevOps / Azure DevOps

• Understanding of data security and governance in Azure

• Azure certifications (preferred)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
