What is the position? Evercore Wealth Management is seeking an Investment Operations Analyst to work with the firm's San Francisco-based Portfolio Managers and Wealth Advisors. This is a core administrative and analytical support role that plays a critical part in the day-to-day functioning of the investment and client service process.
The role's primary responsibilities include preparing materials for client and prospective client meetings, producing and maintaining performance reports, monitoring and reconciling client accounts, tracking asset movements, and supporting trading and trade settlement through research and follow-up. Much of the work is detailed, process-driven, and repetitive - but it is essential to delivering accurate, high-quality service to clients.
While this position is fundamentally administrative, it is also broad and hands-on. The right candidate will gain exposure to portfolio management operations, client reporting, and the inner workings of a wealth management firm, working closely with experienced professionals. It is well suited for an entry-level professional who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to learn about the wealth management industry through meaningful, behind-the-scenes work. Primary Responsibilities: This role will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Portfolio Management Support - Client presentations: run reports and compile into finished presentation for client meetings
- Portfolio reporting: run reporting packages for periodic Portfolio Manager (PM) meetings; run & review daily trade reports and flag items for PM review
- Trade settlement: communicate with 3rd party custodians and verify trade details are reflected in EWM reporting system
- Trade creation: enter block trades, provide support and backup for SF based PMs; liaise with Fixed Income group on bond orders
- Data quality control: review reports and work to correct missing or bad data
- General: work on special projects at team request
Business Development - Prospect presentations: analyze prospect holdings; perform fee analysis; create finished prospect deck for prospect meetings
- Request for Proposals (RFPs): support the new business process for non-profit clients by gathering necessary info and coordinating with EWM's RFP Committee
Client Service/Ops Support - Transfer of Assets: perform reconciliation of incoming assets; ensure cost bases are properly reflected in EWM systems
- Client reporting: update custom client reporting packages as needed
Compliance and Risk Management Support - Investment Policy Statements: create draft IPS for PMs to review and edit as needed
- Relationship Reviews and Regulatory Reviews: collect needed data (fee calculations) and coordinate with Compliance to ensure all relevant reports are created
Specific Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree required
- 0-3 years work experience
- Financial industry and wealth management business knowledge
- Positive outlook, nimble and strong willingness to learn
- Exceptional time-management, organizational and communication skills/attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently, but also able to thrive in a team-based model
- Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Advent APX/Moxy, Adobe Acrobat, Practifi/Salesforce CRM, Bloomberg, FactSet, a plus
Expected Base Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000 In addition to a competitive base salary, employees may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus delivered in the form of cash and/or deferred equity.
