What You Will Do:
- Lead and mentor teams in the design and development of complex electrical components, subsystems, and systems for medical robotics.
- Architect complex systems and guide key design tradeoff decisions across multiple disciplines.
- Translate user needs into system-level requirements, design inputs, and architectural layouts.
- Provide expert technical guidance to resolve complex electrical system issues and troubleshoot robotic platform challenges.
- Integrate new technologies through prototyping, testing, and technical feasibility assessments.
- Act as a divisional expert in applying medical device standards and reviewing design documentation (e.g., DHF).
- Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to develop technical strategies aligned to clinical needs.
What You Need
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or other related engineering disciplines
- 8+ years of work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced expertise in PCB/PCBA design, schematic capture, and understanding of EMI/EMC considerations
- Proficiency with industry-leading PCB layout and schematic tools, plus experience with signal integrity and power circuit design
- Strong understanding of mechatronics concepts, motor control (BDC/BLDC), sensors, actuators, and common industrial bus systems
- Ability to apply advanced circuit and electrical system test methods, manufacturing methods, and system-level integration
- Experience with tools such as Altium, and familiarity with Jama, Jira, or similar requirements/issue-tracking systems
