Position Overview

Value Technology Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Architect / Principal Engineer to design and engineer the target-state hybrid and cloud infrastructure that enables enterprise-wide data center consolidation and migration initiatives. This role is responsible for defining reference architectures, technical standards, and disaster recovery designs across on-premises and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

The ideal candidate will act as a technical authority, providing deep engineering leadership and ensuring infrastructure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and operationally ready for business-critical workloads.

Key Responsibilities

Design and own target-state hybrid and cloud infrastructure architectures supporting data center consolidation.
Define and maintain reference architectures, infrastructure standards, and best practices.
Architect and validate AWS and Azure landing zones and enterprise cloud foundations.
Lead Disaster Recovery (DR), High Availability (HA), and Business Continuity architecture, ensuring RTO/RPO objectives are met.
Provide deep technical guidance and hands-on expertise during application and infrastructure migrations.
Partner with application, security, and operations teams to ensure secure and compliant infrastructure designs.
Evaluate existing on-prem infrastructure and define modernization and migration strategies.
Ensure architectures are scalable, resilient, cost-effective, and operationally supportable.
Review and approve technical designs, diagrams, and implementation plans.
Act as a technical mentor for infrastructure and cloud engineering teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

12+ years of experience in Infrastructure Architecture / Principal Engineering roles.
Strong expertise in Data Center technologies (compute, storage, networking, virtualization).
Deep experience with Microsoft Stack (Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, SQL Server).
Hands-on architecture experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
Strong understanding of hybrid infrastructure and multi-cloud architectures.
Proven experience designing enterprise-scale DR and HA solutions.
Solid knowledge of network security, identity management, and access control.
Experience with infrastructure governance, standards, and enterprise frameworks.

Excellent communication skills with ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
