Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Power Apps / .NET Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise applications that improve statewide transportation operations and internal agency workflows. This role blends Power Platform (low-code) development with traditional .NET application engineering, system integration, and ongoing support of mission-critical state systems.
Responsibilities:

Power Apps / Power Platform Development>
Design, develop, and maintain Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven) and Power Apps portals/pages
Develop and manage Power Automate workflows for approvals, notifications, and integrations
Create and optimize Dataverse tables, business rules, forms, and security roles
Implement Power Fx formulas, validations, and custom logic
Build custom connectors to integrate external or legacy systems
Ensure strong UI/UX standards for state users

.NET / Application Development>
Design and develop applications using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and SQL Server
Build and maintain RESTful APIs for Power Apps and enterprise systems
Develop server-side logic and integrations with third-party systems
Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and follow security standards
Refactor existing applications to improve performance and scalability

System Integration & Support>
Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint Online, SQL Server, Azure services (GIS a plus)
Troubleshoot issues across Power Apps, APIs, and .NET applications
Manage application lifecycle, versioning, deployments, and environment governance
Collaborate with business users, analysts, and infrastructure teams

Documentation & Governance>
Create technical documentation (architecture diagrams, data models, SOPs)
Follow IT governance, security, and compliance standards
Participate in code reviews and Power Platform governance
Required Qualifications:
12+ years of overall software development experience
Strong experience with Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven)
Hands-on expertise with Power Automate, Dataverse, Power Fx
Strong skills in C#, .NET / .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API
Solid experience with SQL Server
Experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Logic Apps, Azure AD)
Strong API and system integration experience
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field
Nice to Have:
Experience with government/state projects
Exposure to GIS integrations
Power Platform governance and ALM experience
