Field Support Engineer

$93-$116k year plus 10% bonus
Successful candidate will act as the primary technical point of contact in North America and
provide hands-on field support, diagnostics, and customer assistance for all deployments, ensuring fast and professional incident resolution. Participate in installation, testing, calibration, and integration activities with partners and local authorities, ensuring systems operate according to specifications. Coordinate closely with engineering, operations, and R&D teams in France. Escalate technical issues, follow incident resolution workflows, and ensure seamless communication across time zones. Deliver technical training to partners, operators, and client field teams. Build competence locally by running structured technical training sessions and producing simple, clear technical documentation. Manage local spare-parts, logistics, and field operations readiness. Oversee inventory levels, organize shipments, track replacements, and structure local processes to ensure high system availability. Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement. Perform preventive maintenance, collect technical data, propose improvements, and contribute to product feedback loops.
Requirements: - 8-10 years of field service or technical support for electronic, electromechanical, embedded, or industrial systems, ideally with exposure to hardware+ embedded software environments.
- Strong ability to diagnose, repair, test, and integrate complex systems (electronics, IP networking, embedded systems).
- Proven experience working autonomously in the field with minimal supervision, ideally in a medium-sized or high-growth environment.
- Comfortable representing a technology company in front of customers, authorities, operators, and partners with professionalism and clarity.
- Solid communication skills with the ability to train, document, and explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Demonstrated capacity to coordinate with remote international teams, escalate issues appropriately, and maintain structured reporting.
- Willing to travel across North America and spend short periods in France for onboarding and workshops.
- Experience in traffic enforcement, smart mobility, public safety, or industrial systems.
- Knowledge of hardware/software integration, remote diagnostics, or video/image-based systems.
- Familiarity with field deployment environments and logistics.
Bonus Skills: - Able to speak French is a plus.
