Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance Consultant with strong expertise in General Ledger (GL), Chart of Accounts, Cost Center Accounting, Intercompany processes, Tax procedures, and Finance Master Data (FMD). The consultant will play a key role in reviewing, refining, and designing financial processes and ensuring accurate mapping of business requirements to SAP Finance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, refine, and design General Ledger (GL) and Chart of Accounts (CoA) structures aligned with business and statutory requirements.

• Design and support Cost Center Accounting, including profit center structures and internal reporting.

• Lead intercompany accounting process design, including eliminations, reconciliations, and settlements.

• Review and optimize tax configuration and procedures, ensuring compliance with local and regulatory requirements.

• Design and govern Finance Master Data (FMD) architecture, including GL accounts, cost centers, profit centers, and controlling objects.

• Map complex business requirements to SAP Finance functionalities (SAP ECC or S/4HANA).

• Provide in-depth expertise across the Close-to-Report (C2R / R2R) lifecycle:

  • Period-end and year-end close

  • Journal entry processing

  • Account reconciliations

  • Financial consolidation

  • Financial and management reporting

  • Regulatory and statutory submissions

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to ensure solution alignment.

• Support testing phases including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.

• Prepare functional specifications, design documents, and process flows.

• Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Finance modules:

  • General Ledger (GL)

  • Cost Center Accounting

  • Intercompany Accounting

  • Tax configuration

  • Finance Master Data (FMD)

• Deep understanding of Record to Report / Close-to-Report processes.

• Proven experience in business requirement gathering and SAP process mapping.

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance preferred (ECC acceptable).

• Strong accounting knowledge (financial statements, statutory reporting, consolidations).

• Experience working in implementation, rollout, or transformation projects.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with S/4HANA Central Finance or Group Reporting.

• Knowledge of SAP Fiori finance apps.

• Exposure to global or multi-country implementations.

• CPA / CA / CMA or equivalent finance qualification.
