RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Intermediate Desktop Support Technician in Fontana, CA. This role is 100% onsite with limited local travel.
Summary:
Our client is seeking an Intermediate Desktop Support Technician to deliver day-to-day IT operational support across the San Bernardino Service Area, with primary responsibilities at the Fontana Medical Center campus. In this highly customer-facing role, you will resolve ServiceNow tickets, troubleshoot end-user devices and applications, and ensure consistent, high-quality technical support across multiple onsite locations.
Top Three Things You'll Be Doing:
* Providing daily onsite IT support for users across the Fontana Medical Center campus
* Completing assigned ServiceNow tickets, imaging and deploying devices, and performing hardware/software break-fix support
* Delivering exceptional, customer-focused assistance to clinical and business end users
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to incident and service request tickets from the National Service Desk
* Perform break/fix troubleshooting, device imaging, installations, and add/move/change tasks
* Support end-user hardware, Windows 11, Microsoft Office Suite, mobile devices, and basic network connectivity (IP addressing, Wi-Fi)
* Maintain accurate documentation, asset records, and ticket updates
* Collaborate effectively with IT teammates in a fast-paced, clinical customer environment
* Travel between client buildings as required (=10%), with occasional support at nearby sites (~2 miles)
REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma or GED
* At least 2 years of professional experience in end-user computing, desktop support, or workstation-based LAN environments
* Hands-on experience with Windows OS, mobile devices, hardware break/fix, and standard enterprise applications
* Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred)
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users

This is an onsite, frontline support role requiring professionalism, responsiveness, and the ability to navigate a clinical environment. You will be part of a dedicated IT support team ensuring smooth technological operations for a large, mission-critical campus.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
