Job Description
The Product Manager, NetSuite and Revenue Recognition is responsible for managing and supporting business-as-usual (BAU) revenue recognition activities in close partnership with the Accounting Team, while also leading product management for projects that require deep revenue recognition expertise and technical input. This role ensures accurate and timely revenue recognition across systems and processes, and contributes to the strategic evolution of finance platforms.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in NetSuite, Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes, and revenue recognition policies. They will work cross-functionally with Finance, Technology, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions and maintain compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Product Management for Revenue Projects (40%): Lead product planning and execution for initiatives involving revenue recognition, including system enhancements, automation, and policy changes. Build business cases, define product goals, and develop actionable roadmaps.
• BAU Revenue Recognition Support (30%): Partner with the Accounting Team to manage monthly revenue recognition activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and system updates. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Cross-functional Collaboration (20%): Coordinate with Finance, IT, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of revenue recognition processes across platforms. Resolve resource conflicts and drive collaborative decision-making.
• System Optimization and Documentation (10%): Evaluate new technologies, maintain documentation, and drive improvements through automation and usability enhancements.
Qualifications
• Proven experience supporting Finance/Accounting teams, especially in revenue recognition and Order-to-Cash functions.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and ability to analyze and manipulate financial data.
• Familiarity with Jira and Agile project management methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
