Release Manager/Environment Manager/Enterprise Release Manager/Deployment Manager- Remote

We are seeking an experienced Release Manager / Environment Manager to oversee end-to-end software release processes and manage application environments across development, testing, UAT, staging, and production. The role ensures release quality, stability, governance, and coordination across multiple teams while minimizing deployment risks and downtime.

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate software releases across multiple applications and platforms

• Own the release calendar and manage dependencies across teams

• Facilitate release readiness reviews, go/no-go decisions, and deployment approvals

• Coordinate production deployments, hotfixes, rollbacks, and emergency releases

• Ensure adherence to change management and SDLC processes

• Communicate release status, risks, and impacts to stakeholders

• Manage and maintain non-production and production environments (DEV, QA, UAT, PERF, PRE-PROD, PROD)

• Coordinate environment provisioning, refreshes, data masking, and configuration alignment

• Ensure environment availability, stability, and capacity planning

• Resolve environment-related conflicts, outages, and configuration issues

• Maintain environment documentation, topology diagrams, and access controls

• Enforce release and environment standards, policies, and audit requirements

• Support regulatory and compliance audits (SOX, PCI, HIPAA, etc.)

• Maintain release artifacts, versioning, and deployment evidence

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

• Identify opportunities to reduce manual release activities and deployment risks

• Track release metrics and KPIs (release frequency, failure rate, rollback rate)

• Act as the central point of coordination between development, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, and business teams

• Mentor junior release or environment coordinators

• Lead incident reviews related to releases and environments

• 8+ years of experience in Release Management, Environment Management, or DevOps Operations

• Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and change management processes

• Hands-on experience with release tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, etc.)

• Experience managing complex multi-environment setups

• Strong knowledge of version control systems (Git, Bitbucket)

• Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira)

• Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills

• Strong risk assessment and problem-solving abilities
