REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with customer service in usage of IT software
- Strong communication skills to users with varying levels of technical knowledge
Should be able to:
- Utilize technical concepts for those with more technical knowledge and apply them to workflows, including but not limited to:
- development workflows on cloud environments
- components of full-stack applications, such as APIs, databases, servers
- break down above concepts for non-technical users in a precise and clear manner to determine workflow and guidance to be administered
- Flexibility when resolving issues
- consider multiple potential solutions to a presented issue,
- enumerate effects of solutions on the larger software environment,
- weigh costs and benefits of each solution
- Strong analytical skills
- Analyze issues brought by end users to deduce root causes
- Reference systems of record to rectify issues and/or history
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology
Familiarity and/or proven experience with Jira, Confluence or other project management solutions
Familiarity and/or experience with visualization tools such as Microsoft Visio, draw.io, or other solutions of said nature
Familiarity with software development paradigms, including agile development, version control, etc.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Technical Support Specialist will assist end users across various systems relating to our software environments. They will guide users through the utilization of these systems, diagnose and troubleshoot various issues that users bring up, and document issues to be communicated to development teams on the backend.
The ideal candidate is customer-oriented, able to pick up and learn the intricacies of a variety of systems, and dynamic in dealing with a rapidly shifting environment
Responsibilities:
Become familiar with various proprietary data sources and utilize them in conjunction with one another to track initiatives and context around said initiatives Engage and guide end users them through various workflow processes to ease friction between software development, deployment, and governance Generate and tailor reports and/or logs pertaining to the metadata and/or history of given initiatives to provide to relevant stakeholders Analyze root cause of issues arising from defects or flaws within the system Recommend mitigations for issues to ease friction due to problems within workflows Communicate and draft proposals with other team members and/or development teams for improvements or requirements to be implemented, bugs or defects within the workflow, and other
