As the Senior Manager, Automation Engineering Platforms Strategy, you'll shape the platforms, partnerships, and investment strategies that power Walmart's next generation of intelligent, automated supply chain networks.
You'll lead cross-functional initiatives that connect automation capabilities across Fulfillment, Distribution, Import, and Returns networks - helping Walmart move faster, operate smarter, and scale sustainably. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, systems-minded, and energized by solving meaningful challenges - someone who can bring structure, clarity, and vision to ambitious ideas and turn them into actionable strategies that create measurable business value.
The role is based in Bentonville, AR. - Define Walmart's automation platform strategy: Lead the development of multi-year plans that align automation capabilities, platforms, and standards across the supply chain.
- Shape investment and partnership opportunities: Collaborate with Corporate Development, Product, and Finance to evaluate automation technologies and ventures that strengthen Walmart's ecosystem.
- Design concept solutions for emerging opportunities: Identify, explore, and validate new automation concepts that unlock productivity, resiliency, and capacity across the network.
- Translate ideas into action: Synthesize input from technical, operational, and strategic partners into clear, executable roadmaps that move the business forward.
- Lead financial storytelling: Build compelling investment narratives and capital business cases that connect automation initiatives to financial impact and associate experience.
- Drive collaboration and alignment: Partner with Global Tech, Supply Chain Engineering, and Operations to ensure that automation platforms are standardized, scalable, and future-ready.
- Act with ownership: Anticipate challenges, identify high-leverage opportunities, and lead with curiosity and accountability to deliver lasting results.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
