SQL BI Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Develop, enhance, and support SSRS reports, including parameterized reports, subscriptions, and data-driven delivery.
• Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using established datasets and data models.
• Translate business and reporting requirements into technical solutions across SQL, SSRS, and Power BI.
• Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation to ensure report accuracy and consistency.
• Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from business users.
• Optimize SQL queries and reports for performance and reliability in an on-prem environment.
• Troubleshoot data issues, report defects, and performance problems across the reporting stack.
• Implement and maintain basic report security, including role-based access and row-level security where applicable.
• Participate in impact analysis and testing for report and data model changes.
• Document report logic, data sources, and development standards.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to clarify requirements and define KPIs.
• Provide estimates and input for reporting enhancements and new development efforts.

Required Qualifications:

• 3 5 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server in a reporting or BI-focused role.
• Strong T-SQL skills, including joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining SSRS reports in an on-prem environment.
• Experience creating Power BI reports, dashboards, and basic data models.
• Solid understanding of relational database concepts and reporting data structures.
• Experience performing data analysis and supporting ad-hoc business questions.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
