IBM Integration Architect (IIB / ACE / MQ)

Introduction:

As an IBM Integration Architect specializing in IIB, ACE, and MQ, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale integrations for our organization. Your expertise in integration architecture and engineering will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth communication between different systems and applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement integration solutions using IIB, ACE, and IBM MQ
• Create message flows and handle error scenarios efficiently
• Develop APIs following REST and JSON standards
• Work on API lifecycle management and ensure backward compatibility
• Build Java microservices using Spring Boot
• Utilize cloud-native design principles on Azure and Google Cloud Platform, including PaaS services and containers
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery
• Ensure secure communication using HTTPS, TLS, JWT, and other protocols
• Apply integration patterns such as publish-subscribe and saga for effective communication

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• 8–15 years of overall experience, with 5+ years in integration architecture and engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with IIB, ACE, and IBM MQ
• Proficiency in ESQL, Java Compute, and API design
• Experience building Java microservices with Spring Boot
• Knowledge of MongoDB, RDBMS fundamentals, and cloud-native design on Azure and Google Cloud Platform
• Understanding of protocols like HTTPS, TLS, JSON, XML, SOAP, JWT, and JWKS
• Familiarity with integration patterns such as synchronous and asynchronous communication

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with OpenAPI / Swagger and API lifecycle management
• Database schema design, indexing, and sharding basics
• Hands-on experience with AKS, GKE, and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of containerization and microservices architecture
