Mainframe IMS and CICS Developer

This position is for a Mainframe IMS and CICS Developer who will be responsible for developing and maintaining mainframe applications using IMS and CICS technologies. The developer will work closely with the team to design, code, test, and implement solutions that meet business requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL programming language
• Work with IMS database concepts including IMS/DB and IMS/DC
• Utilize CICS functionalities and programming interfaces for transaction processing
• Write and manage JCL scripts for batch processing
• Assist with mainframe system administration tasks such as data set management and security
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Document code and processes for future reference

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in COBOL programming language
• In-depth knowledge of z/OS mainframe operating systems
• Expertise in IMS database concepts including IMS/DB and IMS/DC
• Thorough understanding of CICS functionalities and programming interfaces
• Ability to write and manage JCL scripts for batch processing
• Basic understanding of mainframe system administration tasks like data set management and security
