OT ENGINEER
An OT (Operational Technology) Engineer in manufacturing designs, implements, and maintains the systems that control physical production, bridging the gap between factory floor machinery (like PLCs, SCADA) and business IT, focusing on ensuring plant uptime, safety, efficiency, reliability, and cybersecurity for industrial equipment. They ensure physical processes run smoothly, managing data from sensors and robots while securing these critical industrial networks from cyber threats, a key role in digital transformation.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Within the IT Department, you will be part of the CoC (Center of Competence) MCS (Manufacting Control System) and Manufacturing 4.0 Levers.
You will participate in the company's digital transformation process by addressing innovative topics related to Industry 4.0 for all production sites. Machine connectivity (OT) is one of current major challenges.
The OT Engineer ensures the connectivity of the industrial machines, analyzes business data needs and develops appropriate acquisition strategies, while respecting cybersecurity constraints, performance expectations and OT standards. He guarantees the acquisition of industrial data and their availability for customer systems (MES, MCS, etc.), while respecting the requirements of quality of service and availability.
To do this, his missions are to:
• Participate in the definition of technical standards to connect industrial equipment in accordance with cybersecurity requirements and IT architecture standards defined by the group.
• Support production teams identifying the use cases according to their operational needs
• Implement and maintain technical solutions to connect industrial systems and enable automatic data acquisition.
• Contribute to the specification of the industrial means by integrating our own requirements to guarantee the accessibility of business data, impose the methods and principles of connection to the network in accordance with the group's standards (architecture, software, etc.), recommend communication protocols specifically designed for industrial automation and ensure that all of them comply with cybersecurity rules.
• Participate in digital transformation projects on the industrial perimeter, by proposing and implementing developments around connectivity and machine automation to meet the new needs related to Industry 4.0
• Implement tools for monitoring systems and processes (incidents, breakdowns, etc.)
• Reverse engineering the existing machine park in order to collect data that can be used by the business teams
• Participate in the implementation of data acquisition boxes when machines do not offer direct connectivity or reverse engineering is not possible
• Coordinate internal or external technical teams (e.g. IT and maintenance)
• Participate in the assessment of the security status of industrial systems and help making the decision to shut down a machine in the event of a proven risk (intrusion, compromise, etc.)
• Supervise and/or implement cabling and network connections, test digital systems
• Ensure that all the machines and more generally the industrial network deployed meet all government regulations (Export Control, EAR, ITAR, DOD, CMMC...)
• Participate in the documentation required by these government regulations on the industrial perimeter while coordinating the execution of the compliance action plan
Specifics of the position
You will have the opportunity to travel abroad (6-8 weeks per year in France and Mexico mainly...).

Let's talk about you
As an engineer or equivalent in industrial computing, you have a solid knowledge of the Windows environment, computer networks, PLC programming languages (LabView, Siemens), embedded electronics and cybersecurity (CMMC) as well as a good knowledge of SCADA environments.
Knowledge of the Thingworx platform and the Kepware tool would be a plus.
You also have experience in a production workshop allowing you to understand the subjects and needs of our internal industrial customers.
You are recognized for your organizational skills, you have a good analytical mind and good writing skills.
Your good interpersonal skills and communication skills allow you to build a relationship of trust with colleagues, partners and customers.
Beyond your technical skills, you want to continue to progress, learn and be curious about new developments around cybersecurity and Manufacturing 4.0 topics.

Candidate Criteria
Minimum level of education required: Engineer graduation or equivalent
Minimum level of experience required: More than 5 years
Languages English (fluent), French and Spanish would be a plus
