Job Title: AI Developer

Job Location: Cincinnati, OH

Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

Pay Range: $48hr - $53hr

The AI Developer will design, build, and maintain scalable AI-enabled applications with a strong focus on Python development, REST APIs, and AWS serverless architectures.
This role involves close collaboration across AI, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

Requirement/Must Have:

5+ years of software development experience.
Strong proficiency in Python.
Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
Deep experience with AWS serverless services including Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway or Lambda Function URLs, DynamoDB, S3, and IAM.
Experience translating AI/ML requirements into clear tool definitions and supporting prompt engineering workflows.
Familiarity with LLM tool invocation patterns.

Experience:

Building and maintaining serverless applications on AWS.
Working with distributed and event-driven systems.
Collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain AI-enabled backend services.
Implement scalable serverless architectures using AWS services.
Translate AI/ML requirements into technical implementations and tools.
Support iterative prompt tuning and AI workflow optimization.
Troubleshoot and optimize distributed, event-driven systems.
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices for secure and scalable development.

Should Have:

Experience with infrastructure as code tools.
Exposure to containerized and Kubernetes-based environments.
Familiarity with AWS AI and analytics services.
Experience in multi-account AWS environments.

Skills:

Python.
REST API design and development.
AWS Serverless (Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, IAM).
Prompt engineering and LLM integration patterns.
Event-driven architectures.
Monitoring and observability practices.
CI/CD and DevOps workflows.

Qualification and Education:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant work experience.
