What you will do:
As a System Engineer, you'll be at the heart of designing, developing, and operating the Ericsson Web Services, an internal cloud native development environment focusing on Kubernetes ecosystem and AI infrastructure. You'll research emerging technologies, define architectural approaches, and build automated, resilient, and scalable systems across compute, networking, and containerized environments.

What you will do:
As a System Engineer, you'll be at the heart of designing, developing, and operating the Ericsson Web Services, an internal cloud native development environment focusing on Kubernetes ecosystem and AI infrastructure. You'll research emerging technologies, define architectural approaches, and build automated, resilient, and scalable systems across compute, networking, and containerized environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, architecture and implementation of cloud native security system, ensuring that the Kubernetes platform, data, compute, and network infrastructures are integrated with robust security practices.
- Implement, rollout and support EWS security tooling and services across the Kubernetes ecosystem. Take the SRE on-duty support covering North American time zone.
- Build and maintain automation scripts and tooling for provisioning, monitoring, and operating the cloud infrastructure and platform.
- Contribute to Ericsson's cloud communities and engage with both internal and external ecosystem (e.g., academia, open source) to remain at the forefront of the cloud security domain.
- Collaborate with Ericsson research, product development, architecture, service, academy and multiple cross-function teams on the cloud security architecture and solution design to address both internal and customer use cases, especially for 5G/6G and IoT systems.

- A curious builder who enjoys exploring and mastering new technologies, and a hands-on problem solver who thrives on diagnosing complex issues and designing practical solutions.
- Solid background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience operating and troubleshooting large-scale, production-grade cloud infrastructure - including compute, storage, networking, Linux system, virtualization, container, and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations and security practices in cloud native environment.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming with tools and languages such as Bash, Ansible, Python and Go.
- Broad understanding of the CNCF landscape with the ability to evaluate and work across the full modern cloud-native stack.
