Senior-level Salesforce Technical Lead

Our Sacramento, California client is seeking a Senior-level Salesforce Technical Lead for a hybrid project (in-office on Monday and Wednesday), providing strategic direction and hands-on leadership for the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of Salesforce solutions, with a strong emphasis on higher education environments and Salesforce Education Cloud. The ideal candidate brings deep Salesforce platform expertise, a product-minded approach, and the ability to make informed architectural and design decisions, oversee vendors and system integrators, and collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders. This role requires the ability to deliver scalable, secure, and integration-ready CRM solutions that align with institutional objectives and long-term roadmap goals.

 Responsibilities

•             Define and oversee Salesforce technical architecture and solution design

•             Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with institutional standards

•             Provide technical leadership, standards, and best practices

•             Review and approve vendor technical designs and deliverables

•             Translate business requirements into technical solutions

•             Collaborate with projects, change management, and enterprise teams

Minimum Qualifications

•             Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

•             7+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including large-scale implementations

•             Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce architecture, configuration, automation, and customization

•             Experience leading technical teams and providing architectural governance

•             Experience overseeing and validating work performed by implementation vendors

•             Experience designing solutions that integrate with enterprise systems

•             Experience supporting higher education or Education Cloud (EDA) implementations

•             Salesforce certifications demonstrating advanced platform knowledge
