Senior Software Development Engineer AWS & Test Automation

Position Type: Contract

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to work as a solo contributor on a critical project in the e-Commerce and communications domain. The role focuses on designing, building, and automating cloud-native services on AWS, with strong ownership of CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and test automation. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise and the ability to operate independently.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience

• AWS Cloud (5+ years)

  • Cloud-native development

  • AWS tooling and services

• CI/CD (5+ years)

  • Pipeline design, build, deployment, and automation

• API Development (5+ years)

  • RESTful API design and integration

• JSON (5+ years)

  • Data modeling and API payloads

• Java-based SDKs

• TypeScript

• Playwright for UI and API test automation

• System Design & Architecture

  • Reliability, scalability, and design patterns (3+ years)

• Test Automation

  • Building and maintaining automation frameworks

• Ability to work independently in a solo role

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new programming languages quickly

• Experience using AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining high-quality code and logging

• Experience with DynamoDB, Step Functions, ECS

• e-Commerce domain experience

• Full SDLC experience including code reviews, build processes, and operations

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
