IT Senior Business Analyst – Custom & Licensed Apparel

Role Summary
The IT Senior Business Analyst serves as a strategic partner between business and
technology, leading complex initiatives across product development, licensing, sourcing,
manufacturing, distribution, and sales. This role requires deep domain expertise in custom
apparel and licensed apparel operations, strong systems knowledge (ERP, PLM, EDI, ecommerce), and the ability to drive scalable, compliant, and efficient technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Solution Design
 • Lead requirements gathering for enterprise and multi-system initiatives across
custom and licensed apparel workflows.
 • Translate business needs into BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and functional
specifications.
 • Analyze and redesign end-to-end apparel lifecycle processes from design and costing
through production, fulfillment, and royalty reporting.
 • Partner with architects and developers to define fit-for-purpose solutions aligned with
business strategy.
Custom Apparel Operations
Support systems and processes related to:
 • Screen printing, DTG, embroidery, sublimation, and on-demand production
 • Custom order configuration, artwork management, and proof approvals
 • Short-run and mass customization workflows
 • Ensure technology supports speed-to-market, order accuracy, and scalability.
Licensed Apparel & Compliance
Lead requirements for licensed product management, including:
 • Artwork, style, and color approvals
 • Licensee and licensor compliance (e.g., Disney, NFL, NBA, NCAA)
 • SKU, channel, territory, and date restrictions
 • Ensure systems support royalty calculation, accruals, reporting, and audit readiness.
 • Partner with Legal, Licensing, and Finance teams to maintain compliance and
governance.
Systems & Integrations
Act as a subject matter expert for:
 • ERP: NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365
 • PLM: Centric PLM, FlexPLM, Backbone
 • EDI: SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce (850, 855, 856, 810)
 • E-commerce & OMS: Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce
 • WMS / 3PL integrations
 • Lead analysis for system integrations, enhancements, and migrations.
 • Support UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution.
Data, Reporting & Analytics
Define and document KPIs related to:
 • Sales performance, margins, and inventory turns
 • Production lead times and order cycle time
 • Royalty accuracy and compliance
 • Partner with BI teams using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to ensure data accuracy and
consistency across platforms.
Stakeholder Leadership
Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
 • Design & Merchandising
 • Licensing & Legal
 • Sourcing & Production
 • Sales, E-commerce, and Operations
 • Finance & Accounting
 • Facilitate workshops, executive reviews, and steering committee updates.
 • Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to BA standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Experience & Domain Expertise
 • 10+ years of progressive business analysis experience in enterprise environments.
 • Strong background in custom apparel and/or licensed consumer products.
 • Proven experience delivering ERP, PLM, EDI, and e-commerce initiatives.
 • Deep understanding of apparel supply chain and manufacturing operations.
Technical & Methodological Skills
 • Strong documentation and modeling skills (process flows, data models).
 • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
 • Understanding of APIs, integrations, and data flows.
 • Advanced Excel and working knowledge of SQL (preferred).

Education
 • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, or related field
