Summary

Location & Work Arrangement

City, State: Staunton, VA

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite Required.

Interview Mode: Either In-person or Remote.

Shift: Monday Friday, EST.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Engineering & Operations

Install, rebuild, and configure new/replacement servers, peripherals, services, settings, and storage in accordance with project requirements.

Administer Active Directory and manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups.

Manage Virtualization (VMWare) environments and perform ongoing performance tuning and resource optimization.

Maintenance & Support

Respond to all levels of support requests (Tier 1 3) and resolve break/fix issues for end-user resources.

Execute daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, and key processes.

Perform regular backup and recovery operations, including file archival and purge cycles.

Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly; upgrade administrative tools and utilities as needed.

Documentation & Security

Maintain up-to-date project, architecture, inventory, and change history documentation.

Support cybersecurity efforts, including threat hunting, mitigation, and the improvement of defensive controls.

Perform security monitoring to identify and investigate potential intrusions.

Cybersecurity: 2+ years of experience in threat mitigation and security monitoring.

Certifications: Microsoft Certifications or related technical credentials.
