The project is focused on integrating OneShield into the client’s ecosystem, ensuring seamless alignment with existing systems, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency and support business operations.
Technology stack: OneShield Insurance Platform, Java EE, Spring, Ant, Maven, WildFly, Tomcat, JBoss, SOA, REST/SOAP Web Services, modern JavaScript frameworks & APIs, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Agile (Scrum, XP, Kanban, BDD, TDD), API Management, Cloud (serverless), Frontend & Mobile/Hybrid development.
Responsibilities:
- Defining and documenting architectural blueprints, data models, and system interfaces in accordance with organizational standards.
- Overseeing the development lifecycle to ensure correct implementation of architectural decisions.
- Ensuring compliance with design, security, performance, and scalability standards.
- Working with developers and DevOps engineers to optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment architecture.
- Conducting impact assessments for new initiatives and providing effort and risk estimates for proposed solutions.
- Supporting troubleshooting and performance optimization of production systems.
- Promoting continuous improvement by introducing architectural enhancements and automation opportunities.
- Acting as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure mutual understanding of objectives and constraints.
Must-haves:
- Experience as a Solutions Architect for 3+ years.
- Hands-on experience working with the OneShield insurance platform.
- Strong background in software architecture and enterprise system design, preferably within insurance brokerage portals, digital customer experience platforms, or financial services solutions.
- Proven expertise in Java Enterprise Edition, Spring Framework, and microservices architecture.
- Solid understanding of integration patterns, including REST and SOAP APIs, as well as event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with application servers (WildFly, Tomcat, JBoss) and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Excellent understanding of security principles, performance optimization, and scalable system design.
- Experience working in Agile methodologies, including guiding teams through iterative delivery.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills to align cross-functional teams.
- Ability to balance strategic architectural vision with practical implementation details.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with cloud-native and serverless architectures.
- Familiarity with API management platforms and frontend integration patterns.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), and DevOps best practices.
- Understanding of Agile practices such as TDD, BDD, Kanban, or XP.
- Previous experience acting as a technical lead or solution architect in complex enterprise environments.
