A recognized global financial services company, with locations in Manhattan, NY & Stamford, CT, is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team. In this role, the Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cybersecurity technologies, monitoring for security incidents and vulnerabilities, coordinating end user security activities, and participating in investigations and responses to potential breaches or attacks.
About the Opportunity:
- Setting: Hybrid (onsite 3 days per week at either their Stamford or Manhattan office)

Responsibilities:
- Manage the firm's vulnerability management program, including internal and external scanning, monitoring threat feeds, reviewing vendor bulletins, and tracking remediation activities
- Maintain and monitor control baselines, system hardening standards, asset/coverage metrics, and configuration compliance
- Monitor and document key performance indicators (KPIs) and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) evidence
- Evaluate and recommend new security technologies
- Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices to reduce human related risk
- Collaborate with Cloud, Systems, Network, Database, Desktop, and Development engineering teams on risk identification, analysis, and remediation
- Support vendor due diligence processes
- Assist with physical security infrastructure projects, maintenance, and updates
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a Security Engineer or related Cybersecurity role
- Bachelor's Degree
