Education:
Bachelor s degree in Engineering (required).
No 2-year degrees.
Master s degree is considered overqualified.
Experience:
2 4 years of relevant experience.
Internship experience counts toward years of experience.
Comparable backgrounds: mechanic, construction, landscaping roles.
Technical Skills:
Troubleshooting (required)
CAD experience (required)
Data acquisition (desired)
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Skilled in sketching, engineering drawings, and computations

Typical Day / Work Environment Task breakdown: Planning tests, executing validation, data acquisition, documentation.
Interaction: Daily collaboration with engineers, mechanics, operators, technicians, supply chain, and logistics.
Team structure: 3 team leaders, several senior and junior engineers.
Environment: 80% on your feet in the shop or field; PPE (boots, glasses, uniform) required.
Plan, execute, and document machine-level testing.
Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test mechanical devices.
Analyze customer design proposals and specifications.
Investigate equipment failures and recommend maintenance actions.
Assist drafters with structural design using CAD tools.
