Palo Alto Network Security Engineer

Job Title: Palo Alto Network Security Engineer (Cisco Routing/Switching, A10 Load Balancing, NAC/ISE, PKI)

Location: Annapolis, MD (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Qualifications:

1.Demonstrated experience with Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewall technologies, including:

• Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS)
• Content and URL filtering services
• Virtual Private Network (VPN) implementations
• Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions
• TLS/SSL decryption and inspection

2. Experience designing, configuring, and supporting complex switching, routing, and wireless network environments using Cisco Systems technologies.

3. Experience implementing and managing reverse proxy and load balancing solutions utilizing A10 Networks platforms.

4. Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) technologies, including Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), FreeRADIUS, and Access Control Lists (ACLs).

5. General experience with the following technologies and practices:

• Implementation of multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions using Microsoft technologies
• Cloud-based virtual networking and security services
• IEEE 802.1X authentication standards for wired and wireless network environments
• Scalable routing protocols, including EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
• Enterprise data center environments implementing micro-segmentation
• Certificate management and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
• Vulnerability management using tools such as Nessus and NMAP across Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems
• Packet and protocol analysis using tools such as OpNet, Riverbed, Wireshark, and network taps
• Centralized network management and monitoring using platforms such as Palo Alto Panorama and SolarWinds
• Administration and support of major server and desktop operating systems and utilities

6. Demonstrated ability to:

• Work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide mentoring to junior technical staff
• Communicate effectively, including delivering technical presentations
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including network diagrams, design documents, project plans, schedules, and user guides
