Job Description: Summary:
The main function of a test engineer is to research and test the design, functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems and processes and develop quality standards. A typical quality engineer has the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and evaluate product integrity and standards. The role involves operating a premier laboratory in the field, generating crucial data for next-generation systems, and collaborating with leading experts.
Job Responsibilities:
Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
May write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.
Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
Manage the operation of a 3D Depth Sensing Characterization Laboratory, executing comprehensive test plans utilizing robotic test automation for AR/VR components (including projectors, cameras, sensors, and optics).
Engage in effective collaboration and communication within a cross-functional team environment.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Must-Have Skills
Programming: Demonstrated proficiency in Python and C++.
SolidWorks: Practical experience in designing parts for 3D printing and machining.
Laboratory Work: Direct experience in device control, tooling development, experiment execution, and statistical data analysis.
Nice to have skills
Experience with computer Vision, cameras, sensors, having some experience in physics , engineering
AR VR projects
Camera company
Someone with lab experience is more important than larger tech company
Knowledge of Lidar mapping systems.
Education/Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Optical Sciences, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
