Apex Systems is seeking a highly technical, motivated leader to drive cloud reliability and modernize incident management. This dual role combines Site Reliability Engineering leadership with digital transformation of major incident processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Incident Management Transformation: Redesign and implement modern incident response processes, lead major incidents, and drive blameless postmortems.
- Cloud SRE Leadership: Oversee AWS infrastructure reliability, scalability, and performance. Lead daily standups, unblock teams, and ensure smooth releases.
- Automation & CI/CD: Build Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), automate deployments, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Implement proactive monitoring (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana), troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce best practices for AWS security and regulatory compliance.
- Collaboration: Partner with Dev, QA, Ops, and Service Desk teams for seamless releases and continuous improvement.
Qualifications- 5+ years in SRE or similar role; proven AWS expertise.
- Experience in digital transformation and incident management.
- Strong coding/scripting in Python, Java, Bash, Terraform, etc.
- Hands-on with CI/CD tools (AWS, GitLab, Jenkins) and container orchestration (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana).
- ; able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
Preferred: DevOps certifications, high-risk clearance, 3+ years in critical platform SRE.
