Role: Neo4J Engineer
Location: Remote
We’re looking for a strong Neo4j-focused Cloud Engineer to take ownership of our Neo4j environment and help onboard and support a small but growing user base. This role is focused less on broad platform engineering and more on hands-on Neo4j enablement, stability, and scale.
The team needs someone who can mature the environment, reduce friction for users, and act as the primary point of contact for Neo4j-related work. While the broader team supports other SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.), this role is looking for someone to be the POC for their Neo4j environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own and support the Neo4j graph database environment end to end
Help onboard new Neo4j users, including environment setup and access
Deploy, upgrade, and maintain Neo4j running on AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)
Support Neo4j upgrades across non-prod and production environments
Work directly with Neo4j support to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Manage container images and artifacts using JFrog Artifactory
Partner with internal teams to remove friction and improve the Neo4j user experience
Required Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience with Neo4j (Graph DB) — this is the core requirement
Experience deploying and operating Neo4j on Kubernetes (AKS strongly preferred)
Working knowledge of cloud environments (Azure preferred & Google Cloud Platform would be nice to have)
Experience with containerized workloads and Kubernetes operations
Familiarity with CI/CD and automation (Terraform, Argo CD, or similar tools)
Comfortable troubleshooting production issues and working with vendor support
Nice to Have
Experience supporting other databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
Prior enterprise or healthcare environment experience
Azure certifications
