We are looking for a Firmware Engineer at our factory in Belluno, who wants their code to live beyond the screen-driving smart, sustainable HVACR systems through embedded innovation.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of microcontroller software for technical applications. You will contribute to the full development lifecycle - from concept through to validation - ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-performance embedded solutions.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on innovation, product excellence, and continuous improvement. You will be able to work in a hybrid working model with 2 days per week from home.

Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Deliver on specific milestones for new product development, sustaining engineering, and cost reduction projects.
- Design, code, and document firmware according to defined requirements.
- Produce high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Participate in peer code reviews and design discussions.
- Support software testing and validation in simulated and lab environments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware and system engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with development standards and best practices.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Proficiency in C programming for 8/16/32-bit microcontrollers or similar.
- Strong understanding of embedded system architecture.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Hands-on experience with test and measurement tools (tester, calibrators, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Experience developing and debugging low-level drivers.
- Proven autonomy in learning new development tools and microcontrollers.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of English (written and spoken).
- Ability to organize work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred qualifications or experience:
- A degree in electronics or computer science
- Experience in HVAC.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, or I C.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Exposure to continuous integration and automated testing environments.
- Understanding of EMC design principles and hardware-software integration.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts in embedded systems.
- Experience with C++ or Python for test automation.
