SAP PP Consultant
Seeking a SAP Production Planning (PP) Consultant with deep expertise in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes. This role will play a key part in implementing and optimizing SAP solutions that support demand-driven planning, inventory optimization, and production scheduling. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MRP strategies, supply-demand balancing, and end-to-end SAP PP configuration in manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze client requirements and design robust SAP PP solutions focused on MRP planning strategies (PD, VB, V1/V2, etc.).
Configure and optimize SAP MRP settings including lot sizing procedures, planning horizons, planning file entries, procurement types, and BOM/routing usage.
Design, configure, and support multi-level MRP runs, including net change planning, regenerative planning, and MRP live (in S/4HANA).
Align MRP processes with procurement, production, and inventory control teams to ensure optimal material flow.
Integrate MRP with other SAP modules such as MM (Material Management), SD (Sales & Distribution), WM (Warehouse Management), and QM (Quality Management).
Participate in all phases of project delivery including business blueprinting, system configuration, testing, training, and post-go-live support.
Support key manufacturing functions such as production orders, planned orders, forecasting, safety stock management, and capacity planning.
Monitor and troubleshoot planning exceptions (MD04, MD05), stock/requirements mismatches, and BOM inconsistencies.
Guide stakeholders on best practices for demand-driven MRP (DDMRP) transitions.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on SAP PP configuration experience with a strong focus on MRP.
Proven experience in at least 2 full-cycle SAP implementations.
Deep understanding of SAP MRP logic, including planning parameters, lot-sizing, planning strategies (Make-to-Stock, Make-to-Order), and lead time calculations.
Experience with SAP ECC.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to planning execution and exception management.
Ability to write functional specs and collaborate with ABAP developers for MRP-related enhancements or reports.
Strong communication and documentation skills.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP ECC MRP
Knowledge of forecast-based planning, long-term planning, or Demand Management (PIR/VSF).
SAP certification in PP or SCM.
