About the Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented early-career Product Manager to join our Credit Technology team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of platforms that support all aspects of PIMCO's credit business-including research, analytics, and trading.
You will work closely with engineers, credit analysts, the credit analytics team, and the trading desk to build tools that improve the efficiency of workflows, enhance data accessibility, and support decision-making across the credit lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineers, credit analysts, analytics teams, and traders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions for the engineering teams.
- Business Requirements Gathering: Engage with stakeholders to collect, document, and refine business requirements and specifications for development initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with business users and ensure ongoing alignment between technology deliverables and strategic objectives.
- Testing & Validation: Support testing of complex business logic and application features to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Issue Resolution: Help troubleshoot and resolve technical and functional issues as they arise.
- Documentation: Contribute to user guides, API documentation, and internal knowledge bases to support cross-functional understanding.
- Dashboards & Reports: Assist in creating dashboards and reports to monitor application usage, performance, and data quality.
- Development Tasks: Participate in coding tasks using Python or UI technologies, with mentorship from senior developers.
- System Design Participation: Learn and contribute to system architecture discussions and design sessions.
Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Financial Engineering, Finance, or a related technical/scientific field.
- 1-4 years of professional experience
- Interest in Finance: Demonstrated interest in financial markets, especially fixed income and credit.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
- Exposure to Python or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools is a plus.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to engage with business users to understand requirements.
- Curiosity & Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn new technologies, including AI and apply them to real-world problems.
Preferred Experience - Internship or academic project experience in financial services, technology, or data analytics.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 94,000.00 - $ 102,000.00
