Lead Developer – SCORE Application
Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 remote)
Type: 1-year contract 

About the Role
The technology team is expanding to support the buildout of SCORE, Sony’s publishing royalties and licensing platform. SCORE enables songwriters, producers, and publishers to view their earnings in real time, track royalty activity, and access tools for licensing, catalog searches, and rights management.

As a Lead Developer, you will perform full-stack development—designing and implementing new solutions that integrate seamlessly into SCORE. You’ll play a key role in the ongoing modernization of royalties and copyright administration systems as they transition to the cloud.

This role is ideal for a strong full-stack engineer who thrives in collaborative, fast-moving environments and wants to contribute to a platform used across the global music publishing business.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead full-stack development for SCORE, building new features and enhancements

  • Design and develop scalable solutions leveraging AWS cloud services

  • Work with backend infrastructure, APIs, and data integration platforms

  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, subject matter experts, and developers to refine requirements and deliver secure, maintainable solutions

  • Contribute to a team culture that values innovation, peer reviews, and continuous improvement

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years AWS experience, including Aurora Postgres, Redshift, S3, DynamoDB, CloudFront, API Gateway (SES, Step Functions, EventBridge, CloudFormation also used)

  • 5+ years with web frameworks/languages: Angular (preferred), NestJS, and/or PHP

  • 5+ years of data integration (APIs, databases, streaming platforms)

  • 2+ years with AWS Serverless, Cloud Security, DevOps, and Containers

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, GitLab (or similar), unit and integration testing

  • Advanced knowledge of data security best practices (IAM, encryption, access controls)

  • Proven problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills

  • Must be based in Nashville and able to work onsite 3 days/week

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice to Have

  • AWS Certification(s)

  • Oracle PL/SQL programming experience

  • Familiarity with S3, Glue, EMR, Lambda, Athena, RDS, DynamoDB, Kinesis

  • Experience with data governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements

  • Exposure to CRM, Finance, or Accounting systems

  • Experience with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)
