Senior .NET Web Applications Programmer

The Web Applications Programmer key deliverables include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Design, develop, test, document, and implement large scale web applications.

• Understand project requirements and goals and use that understanding to produce required deliverables.

• Work with Business Analysts to create and or update project, technical, and training documentation as needed.

• Participate in meetings and project activities to support delivery of project outcomes.

• Communicate accomplishments to Business Analysts to support weekly status reports outlining completed work and planned activities.

• Communicate project progress and key information to stakeholders.

• Assist in preparing materials for program leadership, executive steering committees, and the Project Manager as appropriate.

• Ensure technical direction, development standards, and architectural guidelines for infrastructure and software applications are followed.

• Understand strategic project direction and tactical goals and participate in the development and implementation of business solutions.

• Assist internal and external resources in achieving business solutions within established project guidelines.

• Identify and help eliminate obstacles to solution plans, business goals, or implementation efforts, including assisting with contingency planning.

• Participate in conference calls with state and federal stakeholders as required.

• Research emerging technologies and assess potential application to the project or program.

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

Required Experience

• Seven years of experience developing web applications

• Seven years of experience developing applications using the .NET architecture

• Seven years of experience programming in C#

• Seven years of experience producing technical documentation related to requirements, specifications, traceability matrices, designs, or testing

• Seven years of experience testing custom applications, reports, large data sets, or dashboards

• Four years of experience with PL/SQL or TSQL preferred

• Three years of experience with Model View Controller architecture

• Three years of experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular JS, including class based development

• Two years of experience with HTML5 preferred

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

• Demonstrated experience working on large scale implementation projects.

• Ability to collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, project managers, and multiple stakeholder groups with diverse and competing needs under the leadership of a Project Manager.

• Experience working in state government, particularly within Education or Early Learning environments, is preferred.

The consultants  must live in Florida and be available to work in Tallahassee, Florida if required.
