GIS Analyst
Detroit, MI 48242
Long Term, Open Ended
Position Overview
We are seeking GIS Analysts to support geospatial data, mapping applications, and enterprise GIS systems.
Candidates must have strong ESRI experience, solid understanding of ArcGIS Enterprise architecture, and the ability to translate business requirements into geospatial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analytical and geoprocessing tasks to create, maintain, and retrieve GIS data.
- Monitor and maintain GIS environments including ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, ArcGIS Online, and SQL databases.
- Develop GIS solutions using ArcGIS Pro, AGOL, Enterprise, Experience Builder, Survey123, etc.
- Evaluate business requirements and provide technical GIS recommendations.
- Design and maintain geographic databases, including schema/model creation.
- Support field data collection using Survey123 and Experience Builder tools.
- Provide technical support and training to internal stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years as a GIS Analyst working with the ESRI Product Suite.
- 3+ years working with Geodatabase management and relational databases.
- 3+ years working with AutoCAD / BIM, including converting CAD/BIM to GIS.
Preferred Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- GIS-related certificates (GISc or equivalent).
- Experience with:
- Maximo (Asset Management System)
- Interior building mapping
- 3D GIS (ArcScene)
- Programming/scripting: Python, JavaScript, SQL
- Azure DevOps, Git
